As a registered nurse with eight years on the school board and a degree in accounting I am uniquely qualified to make a difference on health care and education while keeping the fiscal integrity of our state in place.

We need more from Sacramento than we have been getting. This race is about the change that is needed in Sacramento in order to improve the lives for all Californians.

The Employment Development Department reported Friday that California's unemployment rate jumped to 7.3% the highest rate in 12 years and one of the highest in the nation. 1.4 Californians are without jobs, up 70,000 from just one month ago.
